It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we extend our deepest condolences on the passing of Kelly Sullivan, a respected former Vice President of the Arizona Law Enforcement Emerald Society (ALEES), dedicated Arizona Department of Public Safety officer, and cherished member of the law enforcement community. His unexpected passing has left an immeasurable void among his family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the honor of serving alongside him.
Kelly Sullivan devoted his life to the service and protection of others. As a DPS officer, he carried out his duties with unwavering integrity, professionalism, and courage. He was known not only for his commitment to public safety but also for his calm leadership, strong work ethic, and deep sense of responsibility. His presence inspired trust and respect, and his contributions left a lasting mark on those who worked with him and the communities he served.
Within the Arizona Law Enforcement Emerald Society, Kelly served as Vice President, where he played a meaningful role in fostering unity, tradition, and camaraderie among law enforcement professionals. His leadership helped strengthen the bonds of fellowship within the organization, and his dedication to supporting fellow officers reflected his generous spirit and commitment to service beyond the line of duty. He was a friend, mentor, and source of encouragement to many within the law enforcement family.
Tragically, Kelly passed away following a single-vehicle motorcycle accident near the Loop 303 and Lake Pleasant area. His passing has brought deep sadness to all who knew him, and the circumstances serve as a painful reminder of how quickly life can change.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Twila, a retired Phoenix Police Officer, as well as his sons and extended family. During this difficult time, they are surrounded by the thoughts, prayers, and support of the law enforcement community and beyond.
